Description
Delicious warm pastries filled with caramelized nectarines and honey.
Ingredients
Scale
- 1 sheet puff pastry (thawed)
- 3 medium nectarines (sliced)
- 2 tablespoons honey (for caramelizing)
- 1 tablespoon butter (for cooking)
- 1 teaspoon cinnamon (optional)
- 1 tablespoon brown sugar (optional)
- 1 egg egg wash (beaten)
- 1 tablespoon sugar (for sprinkling)
Instructions
- In a skillet, melt the butter over medium heat. Add the sliced nectarines, honey, cinnamon, and brown sugar. Cook until the nectarines are soft and caramelized, about 5-7 minutes.
- Preheat the oven to 400°F (200°C). Roll out the puff pastry on a floured surface and cut into squares. Place a spoonful of the caramelized nectarines in the center of each square.
- Fold the pastry over to form triangles and press the edges to seal. Brush the tops with the egg wash and sprinkle with sugar.
- Place the pastries on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper. Bake for 20-25 minutes or until golden brown.
- Allow to cool slightly before serving. Enjoy your caramelized honey nectarine pastries warm.
Notes
- For a richer flavor, consider using brown butter in place of the regular butter.
- You can also add nuts for extra crunch.
