- 6 large butter croissants
- 1 cup chocolate chip cookie dough
- 4 tablespoons unsalted butter
- 1 tablespoon milk or cream for brushing
- Flaky sea salt for topping
Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
- Carefully cut a slit along the side of each croissant without cutting all the way through.
- Fill the pocket created by the slit with a golf ball-sized portion of chilled cookie dough.
- Place filled croissants on a parchment-lined baking tray and refrigerate for at least 30 minutes.
- Bake until golden brown and crispy on top, about 15-20 minutes.
- Sprinkle with flaky sea salt while warm and let cool slightly before serving.
