Description

A delicious and easy strawberry cake made with pie filling and cake mix, perfect for dessert!


Ingredients

Scale
  • 2 cans Strawberry pie filling (21 oz. can each)
  • 1 box Yellow cake mix (15 oz. box. Can also use lemon cake mix or white cake mix)
  • 1 cup Butter (Unsalted. Melted)

Instructions

  1. Spray a rectangular cake pan (Dimensions: 13×9) with oil.
  2. Spread strawberry pie filling evenly in the pan.
  3. Sprinkle dry cake mix evenly on top of the pie filling.
  4. Pour melted butter as evenly as you can on top of the dry cake mix.
  5. Bake at 350 degrees F for 40-50 minutes until the top is cooked through and firm. There might be little bits of dry cake mix on top and that’s okay.
  6. When you spoon it in a plate later with that gooey strawberry filling, the dry cake mix will combine with the rest of the ingredients.
  7. Serve warm with ice cream or whipped cream and enjoy!

Notes

  • This cake is best served warm for optimal gooeyness.
  • Can substitute strawberry pie filling with other pie fillings as desired.
